Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) – Vision College of Nursing & Health Sciences
Introduction
The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Vision College of Nursing & Health Sciences was established with the directives of Khyber Medical University (KMU). Following the expansion of KMU’s oversight to the affiliated institutions, Vision College integrated the QEC into its core structure, allocating regular budgetary support to ensure its permanent functionality and sustained development.
The QEC is committed to elevating the standards of education, research, and institutional performance by aligning all academic and administrative activities with nationally and internationally recognized quality benchmarks. Our mission is to foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and excellence.
Vision QEC Objectives
- Enhance Academic Quality: Ensure academic programs meet global standards and support the holistic development of students.
- Promote Ethical Research: Encourage faculty and students to engage in meaningful, ethically sound research that addresses local and global challenges.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement dynamic quality assurance mechanisms that evolve through internal and external feedback loops.
- Engage Stakeholders: Actively involve students, faculty, staff, and external bodies in the quality enhancement process.
Core Functions of Vision QEC
- Program Review & Accreditation: Regular evaluation of academic programs to maintain quality and secure accreditation from recognized bodies.
- Faculty Development: Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance teaching methodologies and research capabilities.
- Feedback Mechanisms: Systematic collection and analysis of feedback from students and faculty to guide improvements in learning and teaching.
- Quality Assurance Audits: Internal reviews of institutional policies, processes, and educational outcomes to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Benchmarking: Compare institutional performance against national and international standards to identify best practices and innovation opportunities.
Vision Quality Plan
- Evaluate academic and administrative areas including faculty performance, student progress, course design, and LMS efficiency.
- Conduct capacity-building events such as workshops and seminars.
- Initiate and compile comprehensive Self-Assessment Reports (SAR).
- Share SAR summaries with relevant stakeholders.
- Implement and monitor recommendations from quality audits and reports.
- Communicate research outputs to the QEC for faculty ranking and awards.
- Investigate and address research misconduct through the research committee in accordance with institutional policy.

- Academic Program Review Policy: Establishes the process for scheduled academic evaluations and curriculum enhancement.
- Student Feedback Policy: Defines methods for confidentially collecting and utilizing student input to improve education delivery.
- Research Ethics Policy: Ensures all research activities adhere to ethical guidelines and scientific integrity.
- Faculty Development Policy: Provides structured opportunities for faculty to advance pedagogical and research competencies.
