About the CMW Program

The CMW program is a two-year diploma course designed to train competent midwives who can work independently or alongside other healthcare providers, particularly in rural and underserved communities. The curriculum is structured to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for safe childbirth, antenatal and postnatal care, and reproductive health services.

Graduates of this program are equipped to address Pakistan’s high maternal and neonatal mortality rates by providing essential healthcare services directly within their communities.

Program Objectives

  • Promote maternal and newborn health through early detection and timely referral of complications.
  • Enable midwives to offer family planning and reproductive health education in their communities.
  • Contribute to the reduction of maternal and infant mortality through accessible, community-level care.
