The LHV program is designed to train women in providing primary healthcare, maternal and child health services, family planning, and community-based health education.
About the LHV Program
The LHV program is a two-year full-time diploma aimed at preparing women to serve as primary healthcare providers, especially in rural and underserved areas. LHVs act as a vital link between communities and the formal healthcare system, offering preventive, promotive, and basic curative services.
The curriculum blends theoretical education with hands-on clinical practice, emphasizing maternal and child health, reproductive health, hygiene, nutrition, and health education.
Program Objectives
- Train women in basic healthcare delivery, including maternal, neonatal, and child health services.
- Prepare LHVs to conduct health awareness sessions, family planning counseling, and community outreach.

Teaching Hospital Affiliation
The program offers clinical training through affiliation with Frontier Corps Teaching Hospital KPK, where students gain practical experience in departments such as gynecology, pediatrics, family planning, and general outpatient services. The hospital’s modern infrastructure and experienced staff ensure a robust learning environment.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply for the LHV program:

- Matric with Science (Biology preferred).
- Minimum 45% marks required.
